Aston Martin To Sponsor Red Bull From 2018

Aston Martin is returning to Formula One for the first time since 1960, having announced a sponsorship deal with Red Bull Racing.

From next season, the team will be referred to as Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, the deal also including technical and innovation cooperation. The deal, a long time in the making, is viewed by some as a gateway for Aston Martin into F1; the engine regulation changes due to be introduced in 2021 is expected to attract a raft of new engine manufacturers.

Aston Martin have long had an eye on re-entering F1, however the costs and logistics have always been a stumbling block. From 2021, Liberty want to entice more manufacturers into the sport with simpler regulations and cheaper costs. The likes of Audi, Lamborghini and Cosworth have been linked with the sport.

If the car looks anything like the below concept, then we'll be very excited.
